terms

By using works you agree to these terms and the rules. works is run by the owner of this site (contact@works.hammond.website).

your writing

What you write is yours. You keep the copyright. You give us permission to store it, show it on your blog and in its feed, and email it to your subscribers, for as long as it's published. You're responsible for what you publish, and you must have the right to publish it.

the paid plan

The paid plan is £5 a month or £45 a year, renewing until you cancel. Lemon Squeezy sells it on our behalf, handles payment and VAT, and sends receipts. You can cancel at any time from your plan page; you keep the paid features until the end of the period you've paid for. If you're a consumer in the UK or EU, you can cancel within 14 days of first subscribing for a full refund by writing to contact@works.hammond.website.

taking things down

We can take down pieces, or suspend blogs, that break the rules or the law. If we suspend a paid blog for breaking the rules, we don't refund the current period. You can always ask us for a copy of your writing.

the service

We work hard to keep works running and your writing safe, with backups, but we can't promise it will never be down or never lose anything, so keep your own copies of what matters to you. We may change these terms; if a change matters, we'll email you first. If we ever close the service, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and a way to take your writing with you.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
